Consumption of Apple Juice and Reduced the Possibility of the Actual Diagnosis of Asthma
Asthma is a disease that quite a lot of casualties, and therefore prevention is a good action to be done.
Children who drink plenty of apple juice has a smaller chance to develop the symptoms of asthma, the scientists said.
Research by the National Heart and Lung Institute, published in the Journal Respiratory European scientific publishing, represents the latest research to link apples and lung health.
The possibility of children who drank apple juice at least once experienced shortness of breath 50 percent smaller than those who drank less than once a month, according to findings of the research.
Eating fresh apples just do not show a clear benefit, plus the results of the research.
This research is looking at children aged five to 10 years in the area of Greenwich, London. Researchers questioned their parents about children’s fruit consumption and symptoms of their illness they suffered.
Although no association between consumption of apple juice and reduced the possibility of the actual diagnosis of asthma, shortness of breath and the relationship between drinking juice is very strong.
The emergence of symptoms of shortness of breath is one of the more important signs of children at risk of asthma, although many children who show no symptoms eventually diagnosed with the respiratory disease.
The benefits are similar, but weaker, found in children who ate bananas at least once a day compared with less than once in a month.
Dr. Mike Thomas, an asthma researcher at the University of Aberdeen, UK, said the study is another proof of the protective effects of apples.
